I fell into the restaurant business as a way to make a living but what i discovered is I found a home. To put it simply, I love to eat. What better place to be than in a restaurant. Wonderful locally foraged mushrooms, fresh from the farm produce (during our too short of a growing season), beautiful seafood, all great reasons to love what i do. I find my inspiration in both; the long traditions of Europe and the much newer ones being developed in the culinary renaissance that is so visible in our country today. I studied art at Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa, began cooking several years after earning my Bachelor's and never looked back.
